BIOGRAPHIES
Patricia J. Clark-
Chair
Ms. Clark is currently the Chair
of GHS's Board of Directors and was appointed to the board in
September 1999 to fill an unexpired term. In 2006
she retired from her position as Bursar/revenue accountant of
Broome Community College where she had been employed since
1985. Pat earned an Associates Degree in Accounting from
Broome Community College, Bachelor of Science Degree from the State
University of New York, Empire State College in Business,
Management and Economics, graduate work in Public Administration
and numerous CPE credits from the U.S. Department of Education for
Fiscal Officers in Management of Federal Funds and NYS Higher
Education Service Corp regarding academic, enrollment and fiscal
management of NYS tuition assistance and student loan
programs. Pat continues to be associated with the New York
State Organization of Bursars and Business Administrators, of
which she was a board member and Database Manager. She has
been active in the community, including a 4-year period as
2nd Vice President of the Chenango Bridge Community
Association, a committee member/treasurer for Boy Scout Troop 155
and treasurer for Broome Community College Guild. She has
been a member of the Finance Committee of her church for 20+ years
and is a transporter for Neighborhood Caregivers. Since
retirement Pat is a volunteer with SCORE® as a counselor to small
businesses owners and entrepreneurs. Pat was awarded the State
University of New York Chancellor's Award for Excellence in
Professional Service in 2002.
Larry Maier- Vice-Chair
Mr. Maier served on the Supervisory Committee since 2009 and was
elected to GHS's Board of Directors in 2010. He is
retired from IBM having held engineering, supervisory and
management positions with worldwide responsibilities. He has
significant expertise in finance, contracts administration,
large-scale procurement and program and project management. Larry
has prior technical work experience as a pharmaceutical chemist at
Norwich Pharmacal and as a polymer chemist at Xerox Corporation.
Prior to his IBM experiences, he was a Full
Professor/Chairperson of the Chemistry Department at Broome
Community College. He holds a number of US Patents in various
fields. A resident of the Town of Maine, he also is on the Board of
Directors of ACCORD, A Center for Dispute Resolution, Inc.,
currently serving on their finance and personnel committees and
recently chaired their long-term strategic planning committee.
Larry is also on the Board of Directors of Cornell Cooperative
Extension-Broome County and on their planning and evaluation
committee. Currently he is completing his 25th year, most of it as
Chairperson, on the Town of Maine Zoning Board of Appeals and was
one of the drivers implementing a new healthcare plan for Town
employees and retirees. Larry is a voracious reader and enjoys all
aspects of outdoor life, especially gardening.
Ann-Marie Lenkiewicz- Secretary
Currently Secretary of GHS's Board of Directors, Ann Marie
retired from the Binghamton Psychiatric Center as the Principal
Account Clerk where she worked for over thirty-four years. Ann
Marie began serving on the Supervisory Committee thirty plus years
ago and was elected to the Board of Directors in 1979. She
has served on the board in the capacity of secretary since her
election to the board. She currently serves on the
Payroll/Personnel and the By-Laws committees. Ann Marie is the
Chairperson of the Annual Meeting committee and has overseen the
planning of our annual meetings each year. She has completed 33
Credit Union Volunteer Achievement Program modules and has attended
credit union district meetings, workshops and educational seminars.
As the board member with the most tenure, her contributions to the
board and the credit union have been significant.
Jeanette O. Tillotson-Treasurer
Ms. Tillotson joined Broome Community College in 2000 as
assistant controller, and is currently the controller of the
college. She served 16 years at Gannett Newspaper Group
- The Binghamton Press prior to joining the college, and
immediately after earning her B.S. in accounting from
Binghamton University's School of Management. Jeanette
is responsible for finance, student accounts, financial aid,
accounts payable, purchasing, payroll and mail operations for BCC.
During the past three years, she has been a major leader in the
college's migration to their new financial, payroll and student
finance systems. She was awarded the 2010 State University of New
York Chancellor's Award for Excellence in Professional Service.
Joseph G Angelino
Joseph Angelino is fulfilling the remaining term of Mary Adams
who resigned from the Board after 12 years in August. He is
the Chief of Police for the City of Norwich and has held this life
appointment since 1996. Prior to, he was a Deputy Sheriff
with the Chenango Co. Sheriff's Office and a member of the United
States Marine Corps. He participated in five overseas tours-
three of them active combat tours, and retired in `08 holding the
rank of Sergeant Major. Angelino is an instructor at the
Broome Co. Law Enforcement Academy, is the President of the Board
of the Northeast Classic Car Museum, and belongs to various civic
and professional organizations such as, NYS Association of Chiefs
of Police; Chenango County Traffic Safety Board member;
Alternatives to Incarceration Board member, the VFW; the Military
Order of the Purple Heart; and many more.
F. Paul Battisti, Esq.
A member of the Board of Directors since May 2007, Mr. Battisti
is a founding partner of The Law Offices of Battisti, Gartenman
& Thayne, P.C. Binghamton, New York. Mr. Battisti
concentrates his practice in the area of Federal and State Criminal
Defense. He received his Associate's Degree from Broome
Community College in May 1999, his Bachelor of Arts from Siena
college in May 2001 and his Doctor of Jurisprudence from Thomas
Jefferson School of Law in May 2004. Paul is a member of the
American, New York State and Broome County Bar Associations, as
well as the Boys and Girls Club of Western Broome and Broome County
Bar Association Board of Directors. He resides in Binghamton with
his wife and son.
Jeffrey J. Kerr
Mr. Jeffrey J. Kerr is the founder of
Kildare Asset Management. He is also President and founder of
Kerr Financial Group, an independent broker offering a broad range
of investment services. Mr. Kerr is a Register Principal and
has been a Register Representative for 10 years. He holds a
Bachelor of Science degree from St. John's University.
Jeffrey holds a Chartered Financial Analyst
designation. Jeffrey is a member of the CFA
Institute and the New York Society of Security Analysts. He
is Treasurer of the Family Enrichment Network, Inc and has served
on the Board of Directors for GHS since 2009. Prior to his
election to the Board, Jeffrey was a member of GHS's Supervisory
Committee. He is a member of the Binghamton Club, Vestal
Hills Country Club and the Knights of Columbus.
Mark H. Knebel
Appointed to the Board in May 2007, Mr. Knebel is the CEO and
owner of Knebel, Keegan Insurance Agency DBA Keegan Independent
Agency Inc. in Binghamton, NY. Mark is affiliated with the
Independent Insurance Agents of the Southern Tier and the National
Association of Life Underwriters. He is a past director of
the Independent Insurance Agents, an active member of the Knights
of Columbus Council #11403, and the Broome County Chamber of
Commerce. Mark was past President of the local Hillcrest
Rotary Club in 2003-2004 and is still an active volunteer member. A
resident of Binghamton, Mark received an Associate's Degree from
Broome Community College in 1988. He holds and maintains an
active license in New York State and Pennsylvania for Agency
Broker, Life Insurance, and Property and Casualty Insurance
products.
Leonard Lindenmuth
Mr. Lindenmuth has served on the Board of Directors since
2003. Leonard serves as Chair of the Personnel/Payroll
Committee and on the Annual Meeting Committee. Leonard was
the President and CEO of Healthlogic, LLC of Binghamton, for more
than 11 years. After transitioning his company
into a large regional insurer, he has returned to his position at
Healthlogic, a healthcare consulting company with clients in New
York, Pennsylvania, and Maryland. Leonard is a published
author in Academic Journals in the area of Healthcare Financing and
Healthcare Delivery Systems. Leonard earned his Associates Degree
in Liberal Arts from Keystone College, his Bachelor of Science in
Health Care Administration from SUNY Cortland; and his MBA in
Management/Finance from Chapman University. He has also
completed course work toward his PHD from Binghamton
University. Leonard currently is a board member for United
Methodist Homes and is the past President of the Mid-State New York
Chapter for the American Heart Association. Leonard is
involved in various charitable organizations and committees in the
Greater Binghamton area.
