Important Notices and Disclosures

GHS has several important Disclosures you should be aware of when utilizing our website and electronic services.

NOTICE OF CHANGES IN TEMPORARY NCUA INSURANCE COVERAGE FOR TRANSACTION ACCOUNTS

All funds in a "noninterest-bearing transaction account" are insured in full by the National Credit Union Administration through December 31, 2012. This temporary unlimited coverage is in addition to, and separate from, the coverage of at least $250,000 available to members under the NCUA's general share insurance rules.  The term "noninterest-bearing transaction account" includes a traditional share draft account (or demand deposit account) on which the insured credit union pays no interest or dividend.  It does not include any transaction account that may earn interest or dividends, a negotiable order of withdrawal ("NOW") account, money-market deposit account, and Interest on Lawyers Trust Account ("IOLTA"), even if share drafts may be drawn on the account.  For more information about temporary NCUA insurance coverage of transaction accounts, visit www.ncua.gov.

Annual Notice- Non-VISA Pin-Less Debit Transactions

You may use your VISA Debit Card to initiate both VISA debit transactions and non-VISA debit transactions without using a personal identifi cation number (PIN) to authenticate the transactions. To initiate a VISA debit transaction, you may sign a receipt, provide a card number or swipe your card through a point-of-sale (POS) terminal and choose to route the transaction over a VISA network.  To initiate a non-VISA debit transaction, you may enter a PIN at a point-of sale terminal or, for certain bill payment transactions, provide the account number for an e-commerce or mail/telephone order transaction after clearly indicating a preference to route it as a non-VISA transaction.  We have enabled non-VISA debit transaction processing on the NYCE, CIRRUS, CO-OP, ALLPOINT and ACCEL/Exchange network(s). The rights and protections applicable only to VISA debit transactions, including additional consumer liability limits and streamlined error resolution procedures, as described in your Electronic Fund Transfers Agreement and Disclosure will not apply to transactions processed through non-VISA networks. Please contact the Credit Union with any questions you may have regarding this notice.

If you have questions about any of these disclosures, please feel free to contact us.
