Debit Card Phishing Scam

April 18, 2008: Some GHS debit cardholders are receiving by way of their work email,the following phishing message allegedly from Empower FCU: "an unauthorized person has tried to log into your account from a foreign IP address. For security reasons your debit card has been deactivated. Please contact the Information Center at (XXX) XXX XXXX to activate your debit card. Please do not reply to this email. This mailbox is not monitored and you will not receive a response." DELETE THE EMAIL AND DO NOT CALL THE PHONE NUMBER. GHS CARDS ARE NOT AFFECTED. IF YOU SHOULD GET THIS PHISHING EMAIL, PLEASE CALL GHS.
