September 2006: Be aware of emails
requesting participation in surveys. Often times the request will
appear to be from your credit union or an affiliate. These requests
often offer up opportunities to "win" if you participate.
Ultimately they request personal account information. Do not
respond to such requests. Do not click on the links they may
provide. Delete the email immediately.
Members, be cautious! Beware of bogus emails asking you to
provide personal data. Do not respond. Do not connect to any links
provided. Never provide your account information when solicited.
Recent scams have been prevalent via the Internet claiming
companies need to "confirm" your information, "transaction was
refused", change your PIN, or claiming they are concerned about
potential fraud. Do not respond.
