GHS recently helped support the Broome Community College Foundation in selecting four students to receive $2,000 in this year’s Annual Student Awards Recognition Ceremony. Congratulations to our 2017 Scholarship recipients: Jonathan Collins, Branden Desmond, Farshid Fazel and Christopher Puzakulics
We would like to share the deserving scholars’ “Thank you” letters and future plans:
“Thank you for awarding me this scholarship. Attending college can be costly and I am greatly appreciative of any help I can receive. Once again, thank you for the donation and thank you for heling me to further pursue my academic dreams.”
“I wanted to thank you for funding this scholarship. I will be a sophomore at SUNY Broome this semester in the paralegal program. My goal at SUNY Broome is to get my Paralegal Degree and then transfer to SUNY Binghamton where I want to major in political science and perhaps minor in philosophy. After that, my goal is to attend a law school within New York State to achieve my Juris Doctrine. During my edification I also intend on being involved in politics starting as a mayor then working my way up to be the governor of New York State and then hopefully to become president of the United States.
Thanks to this scholarship I will be able to focus more on objectives to further myself and spend less times getting capital for my education. Thank you again for this scholarship as a student who is unable to pay for his college without aid from the government and other generous donors such as yourself.”
“I wish to take this opportunity to express my sincere thanks for having been selected as a recipient of the aforementioned scholarship; I am honored to accept this scholarship award. As a senior in the Business Administration program at BCC I have earned a place on the President’s list of the distinguished scholars since Fall 2015. Additionally, I intend to meet the criteria of the scholarship and remain in good academic standing for the remainder of this academic year. I plan to further my education by attending BU School of Management in the Fall 2017. Again, I wish to extend my deepest thanks.”
“Thank you for your generous gift of a scholarship. This scholarship will enable me to continue on with my educations for my Bachelor’s degree in sports management. I greatly appreciate being recognized as the recipient of this scholarship. It is an honor and will be helpful in the pursuit of my educational goals.”
