Alcohol and Drug Abuse Council of Delaware County
The Alcohol and Drug Abuse Council of Delaware County (ADAC) is dedicated to the prevention of alcohol and substance abuse by providing education, information, and referral services. ADAC’s role as prevention is to reduce risk factors through promoting protective factors in individuals, families, and communities. Prevention empowers individuals of any age to make healthy choices and focuses on the well-being and skills of the individual. ADAC is a community support and structure that helps equip individuals with knowledge, skills, and opportunities to navigate challenges on the way to building a full and health centered life.

DCMO BOCES
DCMO BOCES is one of just 37 BOCES that partner with school districts throughout New York State to help meet students' evolving educational needs through cost-effective and relevant programs. BOCES were created in 1948 by the New York State Legislature. Employing over 400 staff members, DCMO BOCES is a regional educational agency providing services in partnership with 16 local school districts covering 1825 square miles in Upstate New York. DCMO staff work not only on their two instructional campuses and the Support Services Center, but many are working in the schools of local school districts. DCMO BOCES offers a wide range of services to component schools, municipalities, and students at their educational facilities. From PK–12 Educational Services to Instructional Support Services that support educators throughout the region, BOCES caters to the needs of our schools and their students. DCMO also offers a variety of Management Services such as printing, safety/risk management, and business office support to the school districts in the region.

The mission of the Delaware County Department of Social services is to provide economic assistance and opportunity as well as social service support to eligible families and individuals. The Department of Social Services provides assistance and service support to meet individual and family needs in a timely and courteous manner so they may achieve the greatest degree of self-responsibility and independence possible.

Delaware County Libraries is a federation of 26 public libraries, with 28 locations. they offer a variety of resources an programs to support communities throughout the Delaware County area.
Delaware COunty Mental Health Clinic
Certified by the New York State Office of Mental Health and operating under the auspices of the Delaware County Community Services Board and the Delaware County Board of Supervisors. The Mental Health Clinic is an outpatient clinic whose mission is to provide quality, comprehensive mental health services to residents of Delaware County. They believe each individual who is in need of our services is entitled to be treated competently and with dignity, and we are committed to making needed services available and accessible in the community. The Delaware County Mental Health Clinic provides evaluation, diagnosis and treatment to adults, families, adolescents and children residing within Delaware County. The Clinic also offers consultation services to other county agencies. Crisis intervention and emergency care is provided.
Delaware County Office for the Aging
The Delaware County Office For The Aging is the agency charged with the responsibility of improving the quality of life for older Delaware County residents. Utilizing a mixture of direct and subcontracted services, the agency has developed strategies that are intended to assist the most vulnerable seniors in being able to live as independently as possible in their own homes. The agency is also responsible for the general well being of all elders regardless of gender, race or income and has taken the role as educator as well as service provider to assist seniors in being smart planners and strong advocates for their personal well being.
The Delaware County Veterans Service Agency
The Delaware County Veterans Service Agency exists to provide entitlement information and advocacy assistance to military personnel, to military veterans, and their dependents in matters related to federal, state and local benefits. They are not part of the Department of Veterans Affairs; they are a county agency dedicated to serving veterans and their families. The Delaware County Veterans Service Agency is knowledgeable on the huge array of programs, benefits and services that are available to veterans.
Delaware County Youth Bureau
Promoting positive youth development across the region, the Delaware County Youth Bureau supports young people and families by coordinating, funding, monitoring and developing youth-services programs. Located at 99 Main Street, Delhi, NY 13753, the Bureau partners with schools, community organizations, municipalities and the state to offer employment opportunities, leadership awards, preventive services, and recreational programs for youth of all ages.
Delaware Opportunities Inc.
Delaware Opportunities Inc. was established in 1965 under provisions of the Economic Opportunity Act of 1964, as a Community Action Agency. Delaware Opportunities is a not-for-profit, private corporation. Although the agency contracts with Delaware County and other local municipalities, the agency is not a part of local government. It is governed by a Board of Directors, and has wide powers, designed to improve living conditions in Delaware County. The mission of the agency is to help people achieve self sufficiency and attain a better quality of life.
Family & Community Service of Delaware County
Family & Community Service of Delaware County (FCSDC) has proudly served the residents of the county for over 100 years. The present FCSDC evolved from the consolidation of five family service organizations in Delaware County between 1940 and 1946. FCSDC is a private, nonprofit, multi-service organization. Their mission is to build stronger communities through healthy, empowered individuals and families. To that end, FCSDC to meet the basic needs of those most vulnerable. Currently, FCSDC offers services from offices in Media, Springfield, and Chester as well as other community sites.

Habitat for Humanity of Montgomery and Delaware Counties (“HFHMDC”) has dedicated over 35 years to offering affordable homes with affordable mortgages to income-qualified households, revitalizing neighborhoods, stimulating economic growth, and strengthening communities in their pursuit of safe living environments for all.
Their commitment to keeping homeownership attainable and strengthening communities extends far beyond just building new homes. Habitat for Humanity of Montgomery and Delaware Counties offers program services including affordable home purchase, home repair assistance, and Neighborhood Revitalization.
Heart of the Catskills Humane Society
The Heart of the Catskills Humane Society cares for those who cannot speak or care for themselves. Whether it’s an unwanted German Shepherd or a tabby whose guardian has passed away, no matter what the reason, they take them and will continue to do so, until they can educate every person in the community that spaying and neutering animals is the only humane thing to do, that owning a pet is a commitment for the lifetime of the pet, and that abuse or neglect is unconscionable and illegal. The mission of the Heart of the Catskills Humane Society is to match every adoptable pet with a loving home.
Delaware Valley Humane Society
DVHS is a 503c nonprofit organization that has been in operation since 1964. The shelter provides emergency housing for pets that have become separated from their families for a number of reasons. Whatever the reason is, the Humane Society provides them with emergency services such as temporary housing, food and medical treatment. DVHS can provide housing for a maximum of 35 dogs and 70 cats at any given time. DVHS also does their best to find new permanent homes for all residents. Each year DVHS adopts out approximately 200 cats and dogs.

Mothers and Babies mission is to improve pregnancy and birth outcomes to support the health and development of all individuals and families. They provide education to our communities, connect individuals and families to health and other services, advocate for system improvements, and partner with other agencies, government and providers to strengthen families. Mothers and Babies focuses on every element of care, from the individual to the health care system to policymakers. Mothers and Babies philosophy is based on the concept that there are eight levels of intervention in community development to ensure successful prevention partnerships: Strengthening individual knowledge, Promoting community education, Educating providers, fostering coalitions and networks , Changing organizational practices, Influencing policy and legislation, Minimizing barriers, Ensuring that affordable and appropriate services are accessible to pregnant women, infants and all individuals and families, and Establishing public/private partnerships for coordinated community based care.
