Truth Pharm: Binghamton Family Support Group
Loving a person that suffers from Substance Use Disorder can be confusing, stressful, frustrating, and isolating - we know, because most of us at Truth Pharm have been there. We know how hard it can be to help your loved one find treatment, we've heard the chorus of our peers telling us to stop "enabling", and we've felt the crippling anxiety that comes with a late night phone call. We don't want any other person to go through this experience feeling lost and alone.
We welcome our impacted community members to attend our Family Support Group. Each group will be 1.5 hours in duration. During that time, you'll receive critical education about Substance Use Disorder and Harm Reduction. Following a brief education session, the floor will be opened for discussion from group members. Our group facilitators - each with lived experience and specialized training - will guide the discussion to ensure that attendees receive the best support possible from their peers. Finally, each group will end with a self-care exercise.
This group is person for anyone that loves a person with Substance Use Disorder - whether your loved one is your parent or partner, sibling or adult child - we are ready to welcome you with open arms.
Tombstone Painting with Truth Pharm
The Trail of Truth is an artful memorial event honoring our loved ones lost to substance use related causes such as overdose. We hand paint every single memorial tombstone with love, and invite community members to join us for this kick off tombstone painting event in honor of Fentanyl Awareness Day and help us paint tombstones.
