CHOW® Thanksgiving Food Drive – November 7th – 22nd
We will have CHOW® Barrels in each of our locations to collect non-perishable food items for families that struggle to put food on the table this holiday season. We ask that our Staff, Members and all friends of the community take the opportunity to give back what you can for this generous cause.
The Community Hunger Outreach Warehouse (CHOW®), offers a network of 30 food pantries, over 30 soup kitchens and community meal programs, distributing over 130,000 pounds of food each month. They accommodate families living in food deserts (areas lacking grocery stores or nutritional food sources) and are able to provide these communities access to healthy and affordable foods! Their mission is to bring an end to hunger within our community as well as others. For more information about CHOW and how you can get involved visit; http://broomecouncil.net/chow/
Banzai: Financial Literacy Program for Girl Scouts – November 10th
Banzai has been such a hit with our local schools, that we decided to extend the opportunity to the Girl Scouts of the Southern Tier. We are thrilled to see this fantastic program be overbooked with 4 troops. Continuing to teach our children the importance of financial literacy in a fun way is our number one goal of this program. The impact of this knowledge on the younger generation has proven to keep students more aware of their finances in the future.
If you are a teacher or know a teacher that would be interested in starting this program for their students, please email email@example.com.

Toys for Tots – November 25th – December 19th
We are happy to continue the tradition of hosting “Toys for Tots” bins in our lobbies to collect gifts that underprivileged children can open on Christmas morning. We understand it’s a busy time of the year for everyone. Planning holidays with family can be strenuous on our schedules as well as our wallets. However, we ask that you consider donating gift for a local child in need of Christmas spirit this season.
Donations must be new, unwrapped toys of any value. We thank you in advance for your generosity.
