GHS Federal Credit Union Board of Directors

F. Paul Battisti, Esq., Chair

Mr. Battisti has been a Member of the GHS Board of Directors since May 2007. He is a Partner at Battisti & Garzo, P.C. in Binghamton, New York where he concentrates his legal practice in the area of federal and state criminal defense. He received his Associate degree from Broome Community College in May 1999, his Bachelor of Arts from Siena College in May 2001 and his Doctor of Jurisprudence from Thomas Jefferson School of Law in May 2004. Mr. Battisti maintains active membership with the American, New York State, Broome County, and Tioga County Bar Associations as well as the New York Criminal Defenders’ Association.  Mr. Battisti is a Member of the Board of Directors for the Broome County Bar Association where he serves as President and a Member of Broome County Criminal Justice Advisory Board. Mr. Battisti is recognized as a Top 100 National Trial Lawyer, is the recipient of YWCA Alice Mill Award, has been featured in Super Lawyers Magazine 2013, 2014 and 2015, is recognized as an Upstate New York Rising Star in the area of Criminal Defense and is an Advocate for Female Victims of Domestic Violence. Mr. Battisti is also an Adjunct Professor at SUNY Broome Community College. Mr. Battisti resides in Kirkwood with his wife and children.

Leonard Lindenmuth, Vice-Chair

Mr. Lindenmuth and has served on the GHS board of directors since 2003. He served as chairperson of the board for several years. Leonard serves as chair of the personnel/payroll committee and is a member of both the annual meeting and nominating committees. Leonard was the president and CEO of Healthlogic, Inc. of Binghamton, for more than 11 years. After transitioning his company into a large regional insurer, he has returned to his position at Healthlogic Inc., a healthcare consulting company with clients in New York, Pennsylvania and Maryland. Leonard is a published author in academic journals in the area of Healthcare Financing and Healthcare Delivery Systems. Leonard earned his Associate degree in liberal arts from Keystone College, his Bachelor of Science in healthcare administration from SUNY Cortland; and his MBA in management/finance from Chapman University. He has also completed course work toward his Ph.D. from Binghamton University. Leonard currently is a board member for United Methodist Homes and is the past president of the Mid-State New York Chapter for the American Heart Association. Leonard is involved in various charitable organizations and committees in the Greater Binghamton area.

Patricia J. Clark, Treasurer

Ms. Clark was appointed to the board in September 1999 to fill an unexpired term and is currently treasurer of the board. In 2006, she retired from her position as bursar/revenue accountant of Broome Community College where she had been employed since 1985. She earned the New York State Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Professional Service.  Her education includes an Associate degree in Accounting from Broome Community College, Bachelor of Science Degree from the State University of New York, Empire State College in Business, Management and Economics, graduate work in Public Administration and numerous CPE credits from the U.S. Department of Education for Fiscal Officers in Management of Federal Funds and NYS Higher Education Service Corp regarding academic, enrollment and fiscal management of NYS tuition assistance and student loan programs. Pat is an active volunteer in several community organizations where she serves in leadership capacity.

Jeanette O. Tillotson, Secretary

Ms. Tillotson joined SUNY Broome Community College in 2001 as assistant controller and is currently Associate VP and Controller of the college. She served 16 years at Gannett Newspaper Group – The Binghamton Press prior to joining the college, and immediately after earning her B.S. in accounting from Binghamton University’s School of Management. Jeanette is responsible for finance, student accounts, financial aid, accounts payable, purchasing, payroll and mail operations for SUNY Broome. She was a major leader in the college’s migration to their new financial, payroll and student finance systems. In 2010, she was awarded the State University of New York Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Professional Service.  Jeanette has been a Board member for the past six years, serving as Treasurer for one year.

David Drew

Mr. Drew has served on the supervisory committee since 2013 and is being nominated to the board of directors at GHS Federal Credit Union, for the 2014–2016 term. He is currently employed as an analytics manager for the business intelligence department at Mastec, Inc. Mastec, Inc. is a large, public, infrastructure company with divisions including home services, wire line, cellular and renewable energy. Dave has held operational and managerial positions throughout varying organizational levels within the home services installation and communications industries. He holds a Bachelor degree from Empire State College in the area of business management and economics. He is a member of the Professional Association for Sequel Server (PASS) and has affiliations with the Satellite Industry Professionals Group. Originally from Long Island, Dave relocated to Binghamton in 2003, where he currently resides with his wife Diana and his young sons, Davey and Colin. Mr. Drew is a copyrighted musician, performing at many local venues, both individually and as the lead singer for the band Four-Eye. In his free time, Dave enjoys racquetball, running and writing.

Antonio (Tony) Frontera

Mr. Frontera is a professor of entrepreneurship and marketing for the School of Management at Binghamton University and advisor for Binghamton Enactus, a student organization focused on entrepreneurial activities. Mr. Frontera is an Entrepreneur in Residence at Southern Tier Startup Alliance, a member organization of business incubators, whose purpose is to provide support to entrepreneurs starting and growing businesses in the Southern Tier of N.Y.  Mr. Frontera mentors and coaches entrepreneurs and start-ups in the region and is frequently asked to speak about Branding and Positioning for different entrepreneurial organizations. Mr. Frontera is a seasoned marketer and entrepreneur in the consumer electronics industry. He has over thirty years of marketing strategy, business strategy, business development and consumer communication experience at both his own retail business and mid-sized corporations. Mr. Frontera served in marketing management and business development capacities at McIntosh Laboratory, Inc., where he was responsible for branding, distribution strategy and consumer communication in the luxury consumer electronics industry. Previous to this, Mr. Frontera held positions as CEO, Manager of Business Development, Northeast Regional Training Manager, and Account Manager for companies in the Photographic and Printing industries.  Mr. Frontera volunteers his time for the Boy’s and Girl’s Clubs of Binghamton and currently serves as President of the board.  He also serves on the Board of GHS Federal Credit Union. Mr. Frontera holds a Master of Business Administration degree in Marketing from Binghamton University.

Mark H. Knebel

Appointed to the board in May 2007, Mr. Knebel is the CEO and owner of Knebel, Keegan Insurance Agency DBA Keegan Independent Agency Inc. in Binghamton, NY. Mark is affiliated with the Independent Insurance Agents of the Southern Tier and the National Association of Life Underwriters. He is a past director of the Independent Insurance Agents, an active member of the Knights of Columbus Council #11403, and the Broome County Chamber of Commerce. Mark was past president of the local Hillcrest Rotary Club in 2003–2004 and is still an active volunteer member. A resident of Binghamton, Mark received an Associate degree from Broome Community College in 1988. He holds and maintains an active license in New York State and Pennsylvania for agency broker, life insurance, and property and casualty insurance products.

Larry Maier

Mr. Maier served on the GHS Supervisory Committee and was elected to the GHS’ board of directors in 2010. He is retired from IBM having held engineering, supervisory and management positions with worldwide responsibilities. He has significant expertise in finance, contract administration, large-scale procurement and program and project management. Larry has prior technical work experience as a pharmaceutical chemist at Norwich Pharmacal and as a polymer chemist at Xerox Corporation. Prior to his IBM experiences, he was a full professor/chairperson of the chemistry department at Broome Community College. He holds a number of U.S. patents in various fields. He is a resident of the Town of Maine and recently completed six years on the Cornell Cooperative Extension-Broome County Board of Directors. Larry is a voracious reader and enjoys all aspects of outdoor life, especially gardening.

Jason Aurelio

Jason Aurelio joined GHS Board of Directors in July 2017. He is a Commercial Security Consultant for Sentry Alarms, Binghamton, NY. Jason graduated from SUNY Binghamton and holds a Bachelor of Science in Management Leadership and Consulting. Jason is also the President of the Hillcrest Rotary as well as a Board Member for the Fenton Free Library and the Town of Fenton Planning Board.
